Huawei P40 Pro

The P40 Pro is part of the 2020 P-line of devices from the Chinese brand Huawei. The Pro is the flagship and you can see that in the specifications. It has four cameras on the back, which allows you to take beautiful pictures. It also has a large screen that is ideal for entertainment.

It also has a large battery so you can enjoy all it has to offer all day long. The P40 Pro is available in Midnight Black and Silver Frost. It does not use Google services, so not all apps work (optimally).

Not access to all apps

Many apps make use of Google services, for example to determine the location of the user. This Huawei smartphone does not give access to these services, so not all apps work. Therefore, pay attention to this when buying the device.

Impressive camera setup

On the back, you have a total of four cameras at your disposal, including the 50-megapixel main camera. This allows you to take high quality pictures. With the night mode, you can also shoot beautiful pictures in low light. Use the wide-angle lens to capture wider subjects, such as groups of people.

The telephoto lens allows you to zoom in without losing quality, so you can easily bring an object closer, for example at a concert. On the front, the selfie camera is integrated in the top left corner of the screen.

Lightning Fast Processor

The processor of this device is a Huawei Kirin 990 variant. This is a powerful chip that allows even the heaviest apps to run without hiccups and long lags. The same goes for multitasking, which is not an issue due to the 8GB of RAM.

Lots of storage space

For storage capacity, you have 256GB. This is more than enough for most people, as you can fit a lot on it. If this is not enough for you, use an NM card. This takes the place of a possible second SIM card. If you don't want this, you can also use cloud services.

5G internet connection

At the time this smartphone was released, the 5G network is not yet very relevant in the Netherlands. This superfast network will be rolled out in the course of 2020. Huawei has already prepared for this, so with this P40 Pro you are ready for the future.

Vivid colours on a big screen

The display of the P40 Pro has a size of 6.58 inches. This is on the large side, and therefore ideal for watching films and series. Because it's an OLED panel, colours are extra vivid and black looks even more truly black.

IP68 Certification

This smartphone has an IP68 certification. This means that it is dust and water resistant, which reduces the risk of water damage. However, please note that water damage is often not covered by the warranty and the protection may decrease with wear and tear.

Large battery of 4200mAh

The battery has a capacity of 4200mAh. This will keep you going all day long, without having to be near a powerbank or socket. Thanks to Huawei SuperCharge, the battery is also full in no time. It can also be charged wirelessly via a charging plate which is sold separately.
