Date, time, and time zone are normally set automatically on your Android smartphone or tablet. This is especially convenient when traveling, as the time can adjust automatically when you change time zones. If necessary, you can also change the date and time manually.
Open the „Settings“ app on your device.
Go to „System“ and then to „Date & time“. Depending on the manufacturer, this menu option may be located elsewhere. You can also search for „Date and time“ in the settings.
If automatic date and time is enabled, your device will set the current time automatically. On many devices, you can also have the time zone determined automatically.
If you want to set the date or time yourself, disable the automatic setting. The options for manually changing the date and time will then become available.
Tap „Date“ or „Time“, set the desired values, and confirm your selection.
If you also want to select the time zone manually, disable automatic time zone detection and then select the desired time zone.
Tip: When traveling, it is best to leave the automatic time and time zone settings enabled. This allows your Android device to automatically adjust to the local time when you enter a different time zone.
