You don’t want to lose important data if your smartphone gets lost or damaged.
Creating a backup helps protect data such as photos, contacts and other content. On an Apple device, you can use iCloud to create a backup.
Go to the “Settings” on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap your name at the top to open your Apple Account settings.
Click on “iCloud”.
Choose “iCloud Backup”.
Turn on “Back Up This iPhone” or “Back Up This iPad” if it is not already enabled.
Tap “Back Up Now” to create a backup immediately. Stay connected to Wi-Fi until the backup is complete.
Once the backup is complete, you can see the date and time of your latest backup under “iCloud Backup”.
